Mrs New York United States 2008

Dreams don’t always come true the way you envision them. Just ask Casie Runner of Lowville, NY! Casie went from first runner up of the Mrs. New York State pageant to winner overnight!

With only 2 months to ready for the national competition, Casie Runner accepted the opportunity with an open heart and mind then, hit the ground running!

Mrs. New York has been a proud advocate for kids in foster care and for foster families for years. Casie has seen the difference a loving home can make in the lives of children in need of healing and normalcy.

She has proved to be a worthy queen. Cassie has been busy making appearances with many organizations in need of help and speaking to audiences about her experience with foster families. Her voice has helped raise awareness for this worthy organization.

Cassie states, “I can not believe how many doors have opened to me as Mrs. New York United States. I am using this crown as a big shinny key to reach as many audiences as I can as a Foster Family advocate. Casie shares her message of hope, triumph, and success. “While I am reigning as Mrs. New York I stand ready. I have embraced this opportunity completely, it is such a blessing.” My message is simple: “Foster care is needed, it is important, and its benefits last a life time.”
